Your first session
Create a small deck and let the scheduler take over.
The fastest way to understand Mnemo is to feed it ten cards and review them tomorrow. This guide sets that up.
Create a deck
Open the flashcards module and create a new deck. Name it after something you are actually studying this week; real material beats demo material for getting a feel for the rhythm.
Add a handful of cards. Keep each card to one fact. "What year did X happen?" is a good card; "Summarize chapter 3" is not, because your brain cannot check its own answer honestly.
Review
Start a review session. For each card, try to recall the answer before revealing it, then grade yourself. Your grade is not a score, it is scheduling input: cards you found hard come back sooner, cards you found easy drift further into the future.
Come back tomorrow
This is the part that feels wrong and is right: stop when the session ends. The scheduler will queue each card again just before you would forget it. A few minutes a day beats an hour once a week, and the science page explains why.
Where to go next
- Flashcards first steps for deck organization and card writing habits.
- Notes first steps if you learn best by writing things in your own words.
- Mindmaps first steps for connecting what you know into a bigger picture.
