Trash
Recover deleted items for up to 30 days.
Deleted items stay in Settings → Trash for 30 days before being permanently removed.
What goes to trash
Trash can contain:
- notes and note folders
- mindmaps and mindmap folders
- decks and deck folders
- cards
- material
Deleting a folder or deck also moves its contents to trash.
Restoring a deck keeps its cards, scheduling, review history, and material intact.
Undo a delete
After deleting something, Mnemo shows an Undo notification.
Choose Undo to restore everything from that delete immediately. If you miss it, you can restore the same items later from Trash.
Restore items
Use search and filters to find deleted items.
Each entry shows what was deleted, where it came from, when it was deleted, and how long remains before it expires.
Choose Restore to return an item to its previous location.
If its original folder no longer exists, Mnemo restores it at the top level. Some items may require their parent to be restored first.
Deleted cards whose original deck is no longer available can be restored into another deck.
Delete permanently
Choose Delete for good to permanently remove an individual item.
Empty trash permanently removes everything currently in Trash.
Both actions require confirmation and cannot be undone.
Backups
Mnemo backups include items in Trash.
Exports only include the content you selected for export.
